Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr - a Puppy Lux client - posted a Yelp comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
Puppy lux wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they more info trusted this person with the care of their animals. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.
Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. When asked about Puppylux, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
